Mark Domin Creative
My love of the arts began early on in life and was greatly influenced by an inspiring photography teacher in high school. I began teaching myself to paint in 2019 and have had my work exhibited in numerous shows around the country. One of the joys of being an artist is looking at the world in totally different ways and discovering a painting or photograph in a million unexpected places. For inquiries: dominmark@yahoo.com

"Fossils #1-#5"
I've been fascinated by fossils since I was a kid. I still have a box of them somewhere around our house.
I love doing series of paintings, so I decided I'd to one of a bunch of fossils. Here's the first installment.

"Canal Zone"
A night shot done in acrylics. After doing this painting, I really had the urge to hop on a plane and head to this magical city and spend a couple weeks there, painting my head off!

"Mountain Time"
One more in my series of mountains. It's from an image I downloaded from the interwebs,

"Skull-duggery"
This was on the front step of my younger daughter's front porch.
My brother found it ages ago and he must have given it to her.

"Mount Something"
Another one in the series. I couldn't find a name for this peak, so I gave it a generic name.
If anyone out there knows what the mountain is, feel free to email me!

"The Great Basin"
While visiting my youngest daughter in CA, we visited the Pasadena Historical Museum. It's a beautiful old mansion, with everything just like it was 80 years ago. In the kitchen pantry, I saw this interesting scene. When this was done, it reminded me a little of something by Edward Hopper.

"Fleurs du Soliel"
I was going to paint this scene realistically, but I decided to do a loose study of it first.
And I was surprised at how it turned out. I may just leave it at that!

This is the resident cat at the Belle Isle Conservatory. He's an excellent mouser, a friendly soul, and a handsome devil to boot.
