This is the church and school my mom and her siblings attended back in the 1930s and 40s. It looks like the school was repurposed as a charter school. There's some newer playground equipment so I think it's still operating. I'd love to take a peek inside the church, but unfortunately I don't think that's a possibility.

Another in the series of goofball machines from Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum. I'm not sure what this machine does, but from the looks of it, I think it picks his nose!

There's this incredible museum called "Marvelous Marvin's Mechanical Museum" that I've been hearing about for ages. When they announced they were shutting down and moving I decided I needed to check it out. It's a fascinating collection of mechanical games from the 1920s though the present day. A relatively small space absolutely jammed packed with amusing machines. And they're all in working order! I decided I'm going to do a series of these colorful displays.

This is the resident cat at the Belle Isle Conservatory. He's an excellent mouser, 

a friendly soul, and a handsome devil to boot.
