"Chives"

 

This is a bit like my veg-a-sketch paintings. Done quickly in a minimalist manner. I think this is going to turn into a series of paintings. Look for many more to come as the growing season progresses. I've got plenty of subjects starting out in my herb garden. Happy Spring everyone!

"Greenhouse Aglow"

As I was leaving a party at the Aquarium, I noticed this dramatic sky. And the glow of the Conservatory added to the beautiful scene!  

  • "A Sliver of Sunshine"
      Here's our cat Lizzie, on the landing catching a bit of afternoon sunshine. 
  • "Pavo"
    This is the resident cat at the Belle Isle Conservatory. He's an excellent mouser,  a friendly soul, and a handsome devil to boot.   
  • "Morning Rug"
      Spotted this unusual scene early one morning. I decided it was worth committing to canvas.
