"Red Coneflowers"

 

While hiking at a local park, I came across a bed of red, yellow, and purple coneflowers. What a bright and cheery sight! I figured I needed to paint these red ones.They were so bright, I'm not sure a painting could do them justice, but I think I came pretty close.

"Starfish"

  This was a scene from an interesting movie. I decided to do it in B&W for dramatic effect.  I think it sort of works. 

  • "A Sliver of Sunshine"
      Here's our cat Lizzie, on the landing catching a bit of afternoon sunshine. 
  • "Pavo"
    This is the resident cat at the Belle Isle Conservatory. He's an excellent mouser,  a friendly soul, and a handsome devil to boot.   
  • "The Rage"
      This is a self-portrait depicting the outrage I feel about the recent presidential election. I've thoroughly given up on this country....
